I like Linguistics and Quantum Physics and sci-fi mysteries. Met my first video game at 18 but I'm pretty hooked by now - button-mashy action/adventure RPGs tend to be my favourite type. I have a horror of cute things but take delight in elegant technological innovation, music my friends find strange, and certain kinds of cheese. I'm a messy perfectionist, a bit of a control freak, and I've got enough musical traning to merit a mention, too. I've got a vibrant population of "muses" in my head, both original and borrowed. It gets noisy sometimes.
Authors I'm big on include Neil Gaiman, Garth Nix, and Yamada Masaki, and some of my favourite movies are Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Ghost in the Shell: Innocence, and Whale Rider. I'm not actually a big consumer of manga and anime, but some series I've enjoyed include:
Anime: Lain, Ghost in the Shell, Samurai Champloo, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, Ai no Kusabi
Manga: Pet Shop of Horrors, Scott Pilgrim, Under the Glass Moon
